Copyright & Licensing

IJSS: International Journal of Social Sciences operates an Open Access publishing model that prioritizes the dissemination of scholarly research while fully protecting the intellectual rights of authors.

1. Author Copyright Retention

Authors publishing with IJSS retain unrestricted copyright and all proprietary rights in their published work without commercial transfer. Authors grant IJSS and STEBIS Bina Mandiri an exclusive first-publication license to publish, archive, and index the accepted manuscript.

Because authors retain full copyright, they are free to:

  • Reproduce, distribute, and utilize their work in subsequent personal monographs, book chapters, or teaching materials.
  • Deposit published versions in institutional repositories, funder repositories, or academic social networks (such as ResearchGate and Academia.edu).

2. Open Access Licensing Terms

All articles published in IJSS are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).

Under this open access license, any third party is permitted to:

  • Share: Copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format.
  • Adapt: Remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, including commercial endeavors.

Mandatory Condition: Appropriate credit must be clearly attributed to the original author(s) and IJSS as the original place of publication, with a functional link to the formal CC BY 4.0 license.

3. User Warranty and Originality

By submitting a manuscript, authors warrant that the work is original, has not been published previously, does not infringe on any third-party intellectual property or copyright, and contains no unlawful statements.
