Peer Review Process

Peer Review Process

Double-Blind Peer Review Policy

Every manuscript submitted to Jurnal Manajemen Bisnis dan Keuangan (JMBK) undergoes a rigorous review process using a Double-Blind Peer Review model. Under this policy, the identities of both the authors and reviewers remain completely anonymous to ensure impartiality and academic integrity throughout the review.

Review Stages & Workflow

1
Initial Desk Review (Editorial Assessment)

The Managing Editor checks the submitted manuscript for formatting compliance, topic relevance to the journal's focus and scope, structural integrity, and plagiarism screening (using Turnitin). Manuscripts failing to meet basic quality or formatting criteria are rejected at this stage without peer review.

2
Peer Review Assignment

Manuscripts passing the initial screening are anonymized and assigned to at least two (2) independent peer reviewers who specialize in the respective field of study.

3
Evaluation Criteria

Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on originality, methodology rigor, clarity of presentation, validity of conclusions, and theoretical or practical contribution to the literature.

4
Editorial Decision

Based on the reviewers' evaluations, the Editor-in-Chief makes one of the following decisions:

  • Accept Submission: Manuscript accepted as is.
  • Revisions Required: Minor adjustments required before acceptance.
  • Resubmit for Review: Major revisions needed followed by a second round of review.
  • Decline Submission: Manuscript does not meet the standards or requirements.

Review Timeline

The average duration for the peer review process is 4 to 8 weeks from the date of submission, depending on reviewer responsiveness and the extent of revisions required.
