Authors are expected to adhere to professional scientific publishing ethics. Unreasonable withdrawal of manuscripts after submission wastes the valuable time and resources of editors, reviewers, and the journal management. Therefore, Jurnal Manajemen Bisnis dan Keuangan (JMBK) applies a strict manuscript withdrawal policy.
Withdrawal Procedure
A manuscript withdrawal is only considered official once the corresponding author submits a formal Manuscript Withdrawal Request Letter signed by all co-authors, explicitly stating the reason for withdrawal, and receives written confirmation/approval from the Editor-in-Chief.
• Withdrawal During Initial Screening (Desk Review)
Withdrawal requested while the manuscript is still under initial editorial screening (before assignment to peer reviewers) is generally allowed without penalty upon written request.
• Withdrawal During Peer Review or Revision Stage
Withdrawing a manuscript while it is under peer review or after peer review reports have been delivered is strongly discouraged. Authors must provide compelling academic or scientific justifications for the withdrawal.
• Unethical Withdrawal & Sanctions
Withdrawing a manuscript because it has been accepted by another journal (duplicate submission) or without providing a valid reason is considered serious academic misconduct. In such cases, JMBK reserves the right to ban the authors from submitting manuscripts to this journal for a specified period.
Confirmation Requirement
Until an official written confirmation of withdrawal is issued by the Editorial Office, the manuscript remains active in JMBK's system and cannot be submitted to another publication.
